Jemaine Clement children: Meet Sophocles Iraia Clement

Clement was born on January 10, 1974, in Masterton, Wairarapa, and was raised there by his mother and grandmother Maikara in a working-class household together with his two brothers.
Together with Bret McKenzie, he formed the musical comedy team Flight of the Conchords, which has published many albums. They also produced the comedy series of the same name for HBO and the BBC, for which they were nominated for six Primetime Emmys.
He has appeared in movies including Humor Me (2017), The Festival, Men in Black 3 (2012), People Places Things (2015), Dinner for Schmucks (2010), and Men in Black 3. (2018). Additionally, he provided voices for The Lego Batman Movie, Moana (2016), Rio 2 (2014), Rio 2011, Despicable Me (2010), and (2017).
With What We Do in the Shadows, which he co-wrote, co-directed, and co-starred in with Taika Waititi in 2014, he made his directorial debut. What We Do in the Shadows was then turned into a sitcom for FX Television.

Sophocles Iraia, their son, is named after both Clement’s tipuna Iraia Te Ama-o-te-Rangi Te Whaiti and Manasiadis’ Greek great-grandfather Sophocles. He was born in New York City in October 2008 to the couple.
